Recently launched, the CAM Technologies facility expansion has included the addition of 6,000 square feet of workshop floor space. This has enabled the company to house 12 high-speed wire EDMs and two EDM micro hole drilling stations. So, while the team at CAM Technologies is not a large-scale operation, the skilled team can now tackle much larger production contract jobs with precision and provide an even higher quality of workmanship along with quick turnaround.

Taking pride in their exceptional customer service and attention to detail, CAM Technologies Inc assists their customers through every phase of their project, from prototyping to production runs. The company also adheres to customer schedules so that deadline and schedule success is assured.

Wire EDM capabilities at CAM Technologies suits difficult to machine parts or materials for molding components, stamping dies, prototyping, aerospace, and medical materials. EDM micro hole drilling, on the other hand, can place holes in conductive, soft or hardened materials.

CAM Technologies Inc has been in business for nearly 24 years with about half of that time in their current location. The company services Muskego, Waukesha, Milwaukee, and the surrounding areas of southeastern Wisconsin and Chicago.

When asked about the expansion, a representative for CAM Technologies Inc said, “The addition of more square feet to the facility means we could increase the number of EDM machines we had in the workshop. This increased capacity allows us to fulfill larger orders with greater precision.”

Stocks rise on Wall Street as rally stretches to fourth day

Jan 22, 2020

NEW YORK — U.S. stocks rallied Monday, rising with European and several Asian markets following surprisingly strong reports on China's economy. Growth in factory activity and retail sales in the world's second-largest economy both beat analysts’ expectations for last month. That layered on top of optimism from last week’s long-awaited “Phase 1” trade deal between China and the United States, which removed some of the uncertainty that’s hung over businesses and investors. The interim trade deal is one of a “trifecta of positive catalysts” that swept through the market last week and could help support it through the end of...

Kentucky gov's race stirs clash over casino suicide claims

Jan 22, 2020

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Entering the final days of Kentucky's bitter race for governor, Republican incumbent Matt Bevin exposed himself to a new attack by flatly denying his recorded claim that suicides happen nightly in casinos. Telling a debate audience Saturday night that the truth matters, Bevin challenged his opponent to produce a tape proving his denial wrong. Democrat Andy Beshear offered up the audiotape Sunday. The televised exchange turned Bevin's summer radio interview on WKDZ into a talking point for Democrats heading into the last full week of campaigning in the close gubernatorial contest. In the interview, Bevin claimed, without...

CLEVELAND — The nation's three dominant drug distributors and a big drugmaker have reached a tentative deal to settle a lawsuit related to the opioid crisis just as the first federal trial over the crisis was due to begin Monday, according to a lead lawyer for the local governments suing the drug industry. The tentative deal, details of which were to be announced later Monday, settles claims brought by the Ohio counties of Cuyahoga and Summit against distributors AmerisourceBergen, Cardinal Health and McKessen and the manufacturer Teva. After five drug manufacturers, including Johnson & Johnson, reached settlements leading up to...

Schumer calls for federal probe of contaminated baby food

Jan 22, 2020

NEW YORK — The Senate's top Democrat is calling on the Food and Drug Administration to examine a report that found dozens of baby food products contaminated with lead and other metals. Sen. Chuck Schumer says Sunday the FDA must take more action to regulate the baby food industry. A study by Healthy Babies Bright Futures found the presence of heavy metals in 95% of the 168 baby foods that were tested. The study found 95% of the food tested contained lead, arsenic, mercury or cadmium. It found one in four baby foods that were tested contained all four metals....
